This Shipping & Returns Policy explains Modula’s shipping practices, delivery options, and return/exchange procedures. Terms below apply to orders placed on bemodula.com unless otherwise noted on a product page or at point of sale. Please read carefully and retain your order number and proof of purchase for all inquiries.
Shipping
Processing Times
Orders placed Monday to Friday before 3:00 PM Eastern Time (ET) will generally be processed the same day and ship within one business day. Orders placed after 3:00 PM ET on Friday, on weekends, or on observed company holidays will be processed on the next business day. International orders typically process and ship within up to three business days unless otherwise stated for particular products.
Domestic Shipping (U.S.)
Free 2-day shipping on all U.S. orders for over $250. A signature is required upon delivery for all shipments. Overnight shipping is available for $85. Saturday delivery is available for $110 (where carrier service permits). Orders cannot be delivered to PO Boxes or certain APO/FPO addresses when using courier services that require a physical address. All domestic shipments are insured against theft and accidental damage while in transit. Once a package is delivered and signed for, risk of loss and liability pass to the recipient. We may require an adult signature or age verification for certain orders.
International Shipping
International shipping is available to many countries; actual destinations and options will be shown at checkout. International orders are subject to shipping charges, import duties, taxes, customs fees, and other charges assessed by the destination country. These charges are the responsibility of the recipient unless we collect them at checkout for your convenience. Where available and shown at checkout, duties and taxes may be prepaid. Otherwise, the recipient is the importer of record and responsible for customs clearance and any additional charges. High-value international orders (orders exceeding $75,000) require advance coordination. Please contact orders@bemodula.com to arrange purchase, shipping, and insurance. High-value international shipments will be handled via fully insured, tracked carriers. If you refuse an international shipment, you will be responsible for original shipping charges, any import fees incurred, and return shipping; these amounts will be deducted from any refund.
Carriers, Tracking & Insurance
We use reputable carriers (e.g., FedEx, UPS, DHL, USPS). Tracking information is emailed once your order ships. Optional additional shipping insurance may be offered at checkout. If you decline optional insurance, claims for loss or damage will be handled under the carrier’s standard procedures. We will cooperate with carriers on claims for lost, stolen, or damaged shipments. If your package appears lost or is damaged on delivery, notify legal@bemodula.com immediately with your order number and photos where applicable. Retain packaging and damaged items for carrier inspection if requested.
Order Issues & Contact
If we cannot fulfill an item, are out of stock, or need additional information about your order, we will contact you via the email or phone number on your order. Modula is not responsible for delivery delays caused by the carrier, customs processing, inaccurate shipping information provided by the customer, or events outside our control (e.g., weather, strikes, governmental actions).
Company Holidays and Processing
Modula does not process orders on weekends or on company-observed holidays. Observed holidays include (but are not limited to) New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents’ Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Independence Day and the day after, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and the day after, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Eve. Any changes to the holiday schedule will be posted on the Site.
Returns, Exchanges & Refunds
General Return Principles
Proof of purchase (order number, packing slip, or receipt) is required for all returns and exchanges. Items must be returned in substantially the same condition as received, unused, unworn, undamaged, with all original packaging, tags, boxes, warranty cards, and documentation included, to be eligible for a refund. All returns are subject to inspection. Modula reserves the right to refuse returns that do not meet these conditions or that are suspected to be fraudulent or abusive. Return request frequency is tracked. We may refuse returns from accounts or individuals with excessive or abusive return patterns.
Return Windows and Remedies
Standard items: Eligible, unworn, and unused items purchased on bemodula.com are generally eligible for a full refund to the original payment method if returned within 14 days of delivery, subject to inspection. Shorter windows for select premium items: For certain high-touch or limited items (such as selected fine jewelry or items specifically noted on the product page), the product page may specify an alternative return window. Some of these items may require a 24-hour notification for expedited refund eligibility or may be exchange/store-credit only. Always check the product page for the applicable return terms before purchase. Exchanges and store credit: If you miss the refund window but return the item within 7 days of delivery (where product-page rules permit), we may offer an exchange or store credit at our discretion. High-value purchases ($75,000 or more): Merchandise priced at $75,000 or more will be eligible for exchange within 30 days but not for refund, unless otherwise required by law or expressly agreed in writing prior to purchase. International orders: Unless otherwise specified on the product page, international orders may be final sale. If international returns are accepted, the customer is typically responsible for return shipping and any customs duties for the return.
Final Sale and Non-returnable Items
Certain items are final sale and not eligible for return or exchange, including (but not limited to) personalized/customized items, engraved items, perishable goods, opened personal-care or hygiene products, clearance/final markdown items, limited edition/collaboration items marked final sale, and gift cards. Final sale items will be clearly indicated on the product page.
Damaged or Incorrect Items
If you receive an incorrect or damaged item, notify legal@bemodula.com within 24 hours of delivery and include photos and your order number. We will provide instructions for return or replacement at no charge for verified shipping errors or transit damage.
How to Make a Return or Exchange
Online returns/exchanges:
1. Start a return or exchange at bemodula.com/returns or email orders@bemodula.com with “RETURN” or “EXCHANGE” and your order number in the subject line.
2. For eligible returns, we will provide an RMA and a prepaid return label (where applicable). For returns that are customer-paid, we will provide instructions on where to ship.
3. Pack the item securely in the original packaging if possible and affix the return label.
4. Drop off at the carrier location indicated or schedule a pickup as instructed.
In-store purchases:
Items purchased in a Modula retail location should be returned in person at the purchasing store in accordance with the in-store return policy. Bring the original form of payment and proof of purchase.
Third-party/retailer purchases:
If you purchased an item from an authorized third-party retailer, please contact that retailer directly for return/exchange assistance. Modula can only accept returns for goods purchased directly from bemodula.com or a Modula retail location.
Return Shipping Costs & Restocking
If the return is due to our error (defect, wrong item, or damage in transit), Modula will provide and cover return shipping costs. For customer-initiated returns (change of mind, wrong size), return shipping costs are generally the customer’s responsibility unless otherwise stated. We recommend using a trackable shipping method and insuring the shipment for its value. Modula is not responsible for returns lost in transit unless we provided the prepaid shipping and coverage. In limited circumstances (e.g., bulky custom-stocked goods), a restocking fee may apply. Any restocking fees will be disclosed at return authorization.
Refund Timing
Once we receive and inspect your return, we will notify you of receipt and acceptance. Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method within 7 to 10 business days after inspection. The time it takes for funds to appear on your account depends on your payment provider and bank.
Gift Recipients
Gift recipients without original proof of purchase are generally eligible for an exchange or non-refundable merchandise credit redeemable at bemodula.com (or at Modula retail locations where applicable), unless the product page specifies otherwise.
Verification, Fraud Prevention & Privacy
To protect customers and prevent fraud, Modula may verify return requests and require identifying information (name, email address associated with the order, order number, shipping address, or phone number). We will never request sensitive identifiers (e.g., full Social Security numbers) to process a return. We reserve the right to deny refunds or exchanges where a return fails inspection, is fraudulent, or is abusive of the return policy.
Holiday and Promotional Return Exceptions
Modula may periodically extend return windows for holiday or promotional periods. Any temporary extensions will be posted on the Site and communicated at the time of purchase. Promotional items (gift-with-purchase) typically require that the gifted item be included with a return; otherwise your refund may be adjusted to reflect the value of the gifted item.
